Protective Thinking

Our “Protective Thinking” program educates and trains on the importance of being aware of your surroundings, preparedness thinking and specific gross motor skills.  The ProActive and ReActive training is based on the element of reaction time and why it is important to act first if you feel in danger of attack and what to do after the conflict has occurred.  You will learn aspects of the psychology of fighting, the importance of action versus reaction time, and skills, that if executed properly will increase your odds of surviving or escaping an attack.

“Protective Thinking” will…

  • Educate participants on the psychological effects on the mind when faced with a perceived threat
  • Explain the importance of perception when faced with a threat
  • Teach tactics that are court defensible
  • Discuss what to expect after the attack and give specific tasks to do following the attack

Participants will…

  • Learn the steps the brain must go through before it can decide how to react to a threat
  • Be given information that will help them begin to understand what an attacker is thinking
  • Receive practical training in the area of self-defense that is easy to learn and simple to apply
  • Learn a “Protective Thinking” mindset
  • Gain confidence knowing that they have choices when confronted by an attacker

ProActive

The ProActive course is the first of a three part series.  It concentrates on action vs. reaction and the importance of not letting the attacker strike first.  Participants will discuss the mental phases the mind must process when confronted by a perceived attack and skills to deal with those phases.  ProActive also teaches practical skills to ward off attackers and how fear effects heart rate and motor skills.

Ground Survival

In the third part of our “Protective Thinking” program, the attack goes to the ground.  The information shared in Ground Survival is meant to help assist a person in surviving a ground attack.  The course teaches techniques that will assist in controlling an attacker and ways to use parts of your own body as a barrier between you and your attacker.
